2008 Appanage
Appellation: Yakima Valley
Varietal: Syrah
Highlights of substantial dark, densely packed fruit, a smidge of cracked black pepper and plush, slightly austere oakiness mesh to form a generous wine of the liveliest proportions. Overtly explosive fruit abounds and coats the recesses of your mouth held in check by just the right smack of acidity. Intensity and excess with bold balance and a finish that goes on for days earmark this wine.

2008 C'est Syrah Beaux
Appellation: Columbia Valley
Varietal: Syrah
Sweet, rich vanilla, minerals and oak barrel aromas lead into the dark, ripe black fruit spiciness of this wine. Bright, clean, powerful, extracted cherry and berry flavors are supported by an aggressive yet not overshadowing oak presence that pleases the palate. Fine grade tannin and firm acidity layer in texture with the nicely balanced fruit. Obvious complexity coupled with creamy oak texture make this wine thoroughly enjoyable in its youth; it should emerge even better with age.

2008 Skookum Red
Appellation: Columbia Valley
Varietal: Sangiovese
Our super Tuscan style red wine...a blend of 47% Sangiovese, 47% Syrah & 6% Grenache. Fresh blackberries define the aroma of this wine. A hint of strawberry and black fruit essence extends onto the palate and is just lively enough not to be too tart. Smooth and refreshing with only minimal tannin makes this wine and excellent complement to summer fare.
